City of Rochester employee supervisor bootcamps begin

Registration is now open for the City of Rochester's mandatory Supervisor Boot Camp.

The first cohort begins April 15. Several more are scheduled throughout the summer and fall, continuing into 2026. New managers will be invited first.

This five-week program is required for all City of Rochester managers. It is designed to strengthen leadership skills, build confidence, and improve your understanding of City policies and HR processes. Whether you’re new to supervision or refining your skills, this training delivers real-world tools you can use immediately.

What You Will Learn:

  • How to lead through conflict while building trust
  • Effective delegation, motivation, and performance strategies
  • Managing up, down, and across the organization
  • Core processes and expectations from the Department of Human Resources
  • Communication that drives accountability and clarity

Cohort Size: 25 participants
