About the Board
The Electrical Examining Board of the City as provided for in Article XII, § 12-39, of the Charter of the City of Rochester is responsible for:
Reservoir and Water Treatment facility tours
The City of Rochester's primary water supply is from Canadice and Hemlock Lakes, located approximately 28 miles south of Rochester in Livingston and Ontario Counties. Water from these lakes is treated at the Hemlock Water Filtration Plant and then transmitted to the City using a system of tunnels, conduits and storage reservoirs.
Dog bite prevention
The City of Rochester is committed to reducing dog bites by removing barriers in access to resources for pet owners (e.g., pet supplies, veterinary care, sterilization, obedience training) and providing information that can help people avoid a negative encounter with a dog. By following the tips below, dog owners can reduce the likelihood that their dog will be involved with a bite. There are also tips for parents, children, and people in occupations involving home visits to minimize chances of being bitten.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month each year, Mayor Malik D. Evans and the City’s Hispanic Heritage Committee host a month-long program of events to celebrate the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched the Rochester community.

The Rochester Land Bank Corporation was established in 2013 to purchase or take ownership of tax-delinquent, abandoned, or vacant properties. Its mission is to return underutilized property to productive use, preserve and create quality housing, enhance the quality of life within neighborhoods, and encourage economic opportunities.

What is redistricting?
Redistricting is the process of redrawing the City Council's four district lines that City Councilmembers are elected to serve. Changes are determined by the data collected in the US Census conducted every 10 years.
