Take Your Child to Work Day is around the corner

Take Your Child to Work Day - April 24, 2025

Join us for an exciting day of learning, exploration, and fun!

The City of Rochester is proud to host Take Your Child to Work Day, an enriching event designed to introduce the children of City employees (ages 7–18) to the working world and the vital roles their parents and guardians play in our community.

Event Highlights:

  • Welcome Ceremony at City Hall with Mayor Malik Evans
  • Meet special guests McGruff the Crime Dog and Sparky the Fire Dog
  • Exclusive tours of Rochester’s Public Safety facilities, including the Camera Room, Bomb Squad demonstrations, and SWAT vehicles
  • Interactive experiences at the Central Library, promoting creativity and curiosity
  • A behind-the-scenes look at the Engine 10 & Truck 2 Fire Station
  • Hands-on interaction with City vehicles, including snowplows and construction trucks

Schedule:

  • Date: Thursday, April 24, 2025
  • Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Location: City Hall and Various City Facilities
  • Application deadline: April 11, 2025, 5 p.m.

Lunch and transportation between locations are provided.
