YMCA gym membership discounts for City employees
Earlier this month the Wellness Committee announced an exciting new opportunity for City of Rochester employees to join the YMCA at a discounted rate. Attached is an updated flyer that includes the Roc City Rate, which can be used at two of the YMCA locations: Maplewood and Innovation Square.
The Passport Rate applies to all YMCA locations in the Rochester area. The Roc City Rate only applies to the Maplewood Family YMCA and the YMCA at Innovation Square.
A few items to note:
- This discount is available to all City of Rochester employees. You do not have to be covered by an MVP plan to qualify for the discount.
- There is not a 1-year commitment if you join, the membership is monthly auto-renewal. If you decide to cancel your membership, you can submit a 30-day notice to cancel anytime.
- The YMCA Neighborhood Centers (Thurston Road and Lewis Street) are free access to everyone in the community. For this reason, these locations are unable to set up new memberships using the employee discount.
- You must show your City of Rochester employee ID badge to receive the employee discount.
- If you are already a YMCA member, you can add the discount to your account by presenting your employee ID badge.
- This discount cannot be combined with any other discounts (such as a referral rate).
